Research Investigations of the Paranormal investigates reports of ghosts and hauntings in the Intermountain West and throughout the United States. RIP focuses on scientific ghost hunting, which means we use measurable proof, hard evidence, and we avoid using paranormal means to prove the paranormal. We do not use psychics, mediums, emotions, or other non-reviewable phenomena. We also focus on educating the public about ghosts as well as participating in independent research. As ghost hunters, we use photography to capture orbs (not usually paranormal), mists and entities, video to capture those supernatural occurrences, and audio to capture electronic voice phenomena - also known as EVPs. We will use other equipment when appropriate. We are based in Utah and have members all throughout the state.
